Foam boards
Level 1 & 2
They are designed to help you catch your first waves with stability and security. They also provide added buoyancy, making paddling into catching waves easier. In short, this board facilitates progression and success to get confident in the water. Endless fun for surfers of every skill level!
Characteristics
- Soft top
- Rounded edges
Perfect for
- Beginners
- First waves, white wash
- Having fun!
Funboards
Level 1 & 2
Those evolutive surfboards are a perfect example of a hybrid compromise. In-between a longboard and a fish, they are what you should aim at as an experimented beginner to get to the next level. Challenging you to new medium difficulty on all levels, you’ll trade paddle ease, floatation and stability for more manoeuvrability, reactivity and control. You will appreciate the lightness and responsiveness of their structure.
Characteristics
- Mid-length hard boards
- Mostly rounded edges
- Surf board 6.5 to 8.5 feet long
Perfect for
- Beginners to intermediate
- Practising your turns & control
- Start getting more control
- Active ride
- All conditions
Longboards
Level 2 & 3
When you start to have a bit of level and able to catch green waves, a longboard is always a good option. Because of their length and volume, they are easy to paddle with speed, catch many waves and provide a really clean glide. They are super suitable for a long surfing session and make tiny waves much more fun.
Characteristics
- Surfboard over 8 feet long
- 20 inches wide
- High floatation & stability
- Rounded nose
- Single fin
Perfect for
- Intermediate & Advanced
- Long surfing session without getting too tired
- Clean and smooth ride
- Small to very small swell conditions*
* Experienced surfers also enjoy riding them in bigger conditions. But we wouldn’t advise it if you’re not advanced.
Fish Boards
Level 2 & 3
Don’t mistaken this surfboard for a “performance” one because of the short length. The combo of wide nose, thick shape and narrow tail provide extra volume, more floatation and speed but limit manoeuvrability. Fish are still great when you start doing turns and basic manoeuvres like cutbacks and they are plenty of fun on weak mushy waves. You can also take them into larger sets for a classic ride but their flat curve and big nose make steep drops more difficult.
Characteristics
- Surf boards from 5'5 to 6'8 feet
- Low rocker (bend from tail to nose)
- Wide shape
- Big nose
- Fish-like notched tail
- Twin fin and quad fin
Perfect for
- Intermediate to advanced surfers
- Relaxed rides and classic carves
- Slow & munchy or big large waves
- Small to medium conditions
Shortboards
Level 2 & 3
Shortboards are designed for high performance surfing. Their lightness, banana shape, and pointed nose make it more difficult to paddle and balance but provide a far superior manoeuvrability and control than any other type of board. They are ideal for epic stunts like snaps, cutbacks, rollers, airs as they allow to pivots fast at critical parts of the waves. A common mistake is to be willing to experiment shortboards too soon which slows down visible progression. Learn the fundamentals on funboards before making the switch.
Characteristics
- Surf boards from 5'8 to 6'8 feet
- Strong rocker (bend from tail to nose)
- Pointed nose
- Sharp edges, thin rails
- Light with low volume
- Fragile resin boards
- Tri fin and quad fin
Perfect for
- Advanced surfers
- Carving
- Fast & radical manoeuvres
- Good, powerful and clean waves
- Medium to medium-big swell conditions
Leash provided in every board rental
