Clapo Surf Morocco has been created by Abderrahim Badaoui. When he started, no surf school existed in his hometown, Oualidia. So he promised himself to build his own one day to help people learn how to surf and share that passion.
Here we are now! Accompanying you at every stage. Whether you're a beginner discovering the basics, an intermediate looking for your surf style or an advanced autonomous rider willing to improve your cutbacks, snaps, carves and barrels... We all share the love, passion and huge respect for the ocean. We hope to share it with you while teaching and surfing by your side :)

Abderrahim (Owner)

Specialty: Shortboard, Pro level coaching
The life enthusiast. Self taught surfer in Morocco, Abderrahim, alias Clapo, started at 13 and has been competing as a Pro since he was 17. By the age of 17 he got noticed by the federation and won the Moroccan gold title the same year, participated to international competitions in Portugal and got his international diploma of surfing (ISA 1 & 2 + moroccan diploma). He created his eco friendly Brand, Backwash Zinc to protect both skin and ocean. Having learned on his own, he always promised himself to have his school to share this passion & love for surf. Here we go now!

Houssine

Specialty: Shortboard, Big waves
Self taught surfer from the north shore of Morocco, Houssine is either chasing for the big waves or competing as a Pro for his hometown Oualidia, when he is not teaching surf to others. In 2021 he was amongst the top 5 junior in the country, in 2022 he was competing in the international surf championship. He knows the Taghazout area like the back of his hand. When the swell hits the coast, you’ll find him surfing the huge barrels of Safi.

Anouar

Specialty: Guiding
After having competed professionnaly in surf events for several years he now is an internationally certified ISA surf instructor as well as an ILS certified beach life saver and known to be one of the most experienced, acknowledged and passionate surf guides of the area. Ever since Anouar turned 3rd in the moroccan surfing championship tour 2011, he created a big network of the best local surfers and surf instructors around him who will all help you improve your skills, find the best waves and be safe.

Specialty: Shortboard, Aerials
You can call Abdelhak, Hbekha or "Antoine" if you don’t know how to pronounce his name. From Casablanca, he now calls Imsouane home. His surfing journey started 20 years ago and evolved with dedication to a professional career both as a competitor and an instructor. World certificated ISA 1 & 2, he is a moroccan champion in the shortboard category, specialised in aerial manoeuvres. You'll also find him skating at dawn, fishing on flat days and shining through in his teaching.

Amine

Specialty: Longboard, Surfskate
The artist. Amine started surfing at 7 years old, surrounded by pro surfers in Kenitra. He’s been connected and inspired by the ocean ever since: playing with its power in his rides and exploring its curves from the tip of his pencil. “It’s true what they say: Surfing and drawing is a way of life”. He makes Surf Art both ways, on a board and on paper. Discover how the rest of the world can be miles away when you’re dancing on your longboard.
